The Faith Build Coalition is made up of people from a group of Athens area congregations whose members put their faith into action by raising funds and then building Habitat for Humanity homes for, and with, partner families in Athens County.

Fund Raising Events and Activities

2x4s Signature Program
How would you like to sign a 2×4 that will go into a new house?  Through your signature you will be a part of that house for as long as it stands!  And yoru donation for adding your signature to the 2×4 helps the Faith Build Coalition of Athens County Habitat for Humanity raise the money it needs to raise to build homes.
To sign a 2×4, look fofr us in local venues.  Contact us about working with an organization interested in a special fundraising occasion or a family interested in having guests at a wedding, graduation party or a significant anniversary sign one as part of the happy occasion.

Cardboard City
Church groups and individuals from Athens County churches who take part in or raise money for Athens County Habitat for Humanity's annual Cardboard City event help support the Faith Build Coalition through this effort in the fall.

Rummage Sales Twice a Year
The Faith Build Coalition holds two rummage sales a year, on a Saturday in the spring and again in the fall.

Scrap Metal Collections
The Faith Build Coalition has a scrap metal collection drive twice a year, on a Saturday in late spring and fall, at the Athens County Fairgrounds.

Lenten Calendar Program
Join with members of several congregations that provide a way for members with good housing to celebrate their good fortune during the Lenten season.  Each day offers a way to set aside a small amount (e.g., for a good roof one day, a grill on another) that mounts up by the end of Lent!  Turn the money in to the Faith Build Coalition and pretty soon we have the money to build another house.

Benefit Breakfast
The Faith Build Coalition and the Applebees Restaurant in Athens hold a benefit breakfast usually in January.  Look for details early each year.

Note Cards
The Faith Build Coalition offers packages of attractive note cards to interested supporters.  The packages contain a dozen cards, with four cards each of three designs.  The cards were designed by graphic artist Don Adleta, who donated his time to the affiliate.
